FabFitFun Summer Box Reveal

YAY!!!! My FabFitFun Box came in today!!!! This is my second box of year, and I am AGAIN super excited for all the awesome that it holds!!!!

I joined fabfitfun a few months ago when I was looking for new subscriptions to try. I am currently subscribed to Julep, Ipsy, Harry’s (first for chris, and now I love their razors too!) and now fabfitfun. This was a box that I had been going back and fourth with for a really long time. I have seen SO many people with the subscriptions, from friends to celebrities, you name them, their subscribed. My turn off, was that I thought the box was a little on the steep side, $50 and all. But recently I realized, I had it all wrong. While the box is $50, its only $50 4 times a year…Thats $200 FAR less than I pay for my Julep boxes! That was my first “ah-ha” moment, the second was when I investigated previous boxes. For spring, we got 2 gift cards worth $55! Did I mention the boxes are less than that?! The retail value is so much higher than what we pay, it’s amazinggggg!

I’m super excited to try all my new products for summer! Here’s a quick look at the summer box, and a link to get 20% off your first box! Enjoy 😀 ❤

Mini Bath and Body Works/ White Barn Haul<3

Who doesn’t love bath and body works?! I’m pretty sure that I don’t know anyone who doesn’t, and it is definitely an easy place to drop a lot of money. I worked at the one near the Pier 1 I currently work at, over the holidays, but had to leave once I went full -time at P1. I miss it so much, but mostly I just miss the SALES!!! (I can assure you my bank account doesn’t feel the same 😛 ) BBW is such an awesome place to work, and can be super fun, especially during the holidays.

Today I went in, looking to use my coupons that came in the mail, and left with waaaaay more than I expected…but either way I’m super happy with what I grabbed!

img_20160531_213230777.jpg

The bags were always my favorite part of working at White Barn. They’re so classy and cute!

So I went a little crazy with one of their new fragrances Honolulu Sun! They have a ton of new summer fragrances that smell AMAZING, but this one was the one that was most different from what I would usually choose. I have waaaay too many body sprays and perfumes so I did not get the one to match, but I left with the sand scrub, (these are my favorite to exfoliate before I shave), the gel and lotion (usually I would have preferred the cream, but I had a $6 lotion coupon), the candle was 50% off, so how could I not? A matching hand cream was a must, and a wallflower bulb for my room (:

Honolulu Sun is described as; A warm, sun-kissed blend of fresh island coconut, Pacific palm and ocean air

img_20160531_213600697.jpg

I absolutely loveeee wallflowers. Chris and I have them plastered all over the house, I grabbed honolulu sun for my room at home, coconut sunset for the bathroom at Chris’, along with a new plugin/night light, and then lavender vanilla, which is my ABSOLUTE favorite scent for our bedroom 🙂

img_20160531_213624108.jpg

Since it was buy 2 get 1, I grabbed Malibu heat as my third, to try it out, but unfortunately they did not have matching mini (I had a free mini coupon), so I decided Id use this as an opportunity to try yet another one of my new favorites, Tiki Mango Mai Tai!

I’m SUPER excited to try all these! Maybe you see reviews at the end of the month in my favorites (:

Busy Busy

Hey Lovelies!

Still can’t believe it’s summer & I’m officially a Junior in college! Crazy how time flies…

Anywhoooo, I’ve been pretty busy, with moving home and getting adjusted to my summer schedule, but hopefully from here on out I’ll be able to post 3-5 times a week (that’s my goal anyways.)

Week three of BBG started yesterday, and I’ve switched it up a little bit this week, due to having a day off (my first real day off in I don’t even know how long). Chris and I woke up early to go on a hike, which was pretty satisfying to say the least, unlike freezing my bum off while he played golf in the cold a few hours later. (fyi; don’t agree to golfing unless it’s AT LEAST 60+ degrees out…you’ll thank me later!)

After golfing we came home and I was able to clean a bit, then relax and catch up on both Vampire Diaries and Quantico! I finally go to start meal prepping for the week, which was surprisingly pretty fun and we grabbed some froyo before Chris had to go to work. All in all, it was a great first day off & summer has already been full of fun and its only just begun. Cant wait to see what the rest of summer holds!

Here’s my BBG schedule for the rest of the week:

*Tuesday ~Arms & Abs + 15 minutes on the treadmill

*Wednesday ~Legs & cardio + 15 minutes on the elliptical

*Thursday ~ 35 minute run

*Friday ~Full Body workout

*Saturday ~Ab workout + 25 minute run

*Sunday ~Rest day/Meal Prep

Bye Bye Sophomore year👋🏻

So it’s my last day of my sophomore year of college and I’m currently waiting for my RA to check me out of my room. I never thought it would be this sad to walk into an empty apartment…I live pretty close to campus, so I’ve been moving my stuff out all week but decided it would be best to go back one last time and double-check everything before I checked out…man was this a mistake.

I walked in and was immediately overtaken by how sad it was to see everything bare and empty. It feels like just yesterday Marley and I were hauling our stuff in, a week before everyone else to start Dance Camp Preseason…and now the year is over… So much has changed this year, and its crazy to think that we won’t be moving in early ever again…that we’ll never have a dance preseason again…

As I sit here, I reflect on this year. It has definitely, by far been the craziest year of college yet…So many things have changed for both the worst and the better, but that’s life. I’ve learned a lot this year, and I’ve accomplished even more. I’m realizing that it’s true what they say; the college years are really some of the best times of your life.

This year I’ve gained 2 of my best friends, who in these past few weeks, I have done EVERYTHING with, and I know I can always count on them for anything. I met the love of my life, & we’ve traveled to places I would have never imagined. I’ve made it half way to my bachelor’s degree, and although it hasn’t always been easy, I’ve learned to take the good with the bad. After working 2 jobs and about 50+ hours a week first semester I have become a Sales Lead at Pier 1 and have had some pretty great experiences with my team.

My life is crazy, I’ll admit, but its mine. From the late nights staying up to finish homework after work, and the early mornings at the gym, there’s nothing I would change. Some argue that I’m missing out on the real college experience; late nights with friends and partying into the early mornings…But that has never been me… maybe when I’m closer to the end :p

As for Summer? Maybe it’ll be different, maybe some nights will be “crazy” with less responsibilities, but my goal is just to be happy. Workout, have fun and spend time with family and friends 🙂

Next up, JUNIOR YEAR!

BBG Week 2

Hi Lovelies! Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone’s had a great day so far 🙂 I meant to post this yesterday, but have been so busy with finals that I never got around to it, anywhooooo; only one final left! Thursday is my last final of Sophomore year and I’m SUPER excited!

It’s day 2 of week 2, & I’m feeling pretty great! This morning I ran in the park and took the time for a long, relaxing stretch!

My goals this week are to pass my last final, move out of school for the summer and transition my workouts smoothly to a combination of at home workouts as well as gym based ones since I’ll have less availability to a gym. I’m also going to start meal prep this Saturday, so that should be exciting! I’m ready to get off to a clean start for summer. Bikini body here I come!

Here are this week’s workouts:

*Monday -legs & cardio + 15 on the elliptical
*Tuesday -early morning run + stretch
*Wednesday -arms & abs
*Thursday -45 minute walk or yoga
*Friday -Total body
*Saturday -rest day + meal prep
*Sunday -class or work on area that needs a little extra

TIPS:

*whenever working out I like stick to a sugary drink, like Powerade or water with energy mixes. This prevents my sugar levels from dropping too quick, during my workout & helps me get through to the end
*if this schedule doesn’t work for you, don’t be afraid to switch the days around!

Now that I’m going home I’m going to look into getting back into zumba and other classes at least once a week as a fun alternative!

Join me in taking on week two! We can do this! Let’s get fit for summer!
